Thanks of a Fangirl - 2000 Views!!!!!
Woah! Just....holy...sparkles! When did this happen? I'm already at 2000 views and you know who I have to thank for that? You. Yes, you! All you wonderful people who've been reading, watching, and promoting me and my lowly site deserve so much credit for my success! I'd be lost without you!
So what does this mean for the next chapter in The Patchwork Nerd's story? Well, for those of you who follow me on Twitter know, (and those of you who don't can follow me @ThePatchwrkNerd) I made a deal with you. If I could make it to 2000 views before the start of August, I'd deliver you a video. I'm going to follow through with that promise! Now please understand that all I've got is a webcam and a VERY limited knowledge of Imovie, so we are going to try a Vlog style for a while. I'm just going to need some time to get a youtube or blip account going (any suggestions on which to go with?) and to learn editing! I can't promise they'll be pretty videos, but they will most certainly be fun! Give me a week or two to bring that all together and then we can have some video fun! I'm planning to do something similar to my "Babbles of Fangirl" articles, but babble briefly about several nerdy topics. This is where you lovely darlings come in again.
What would you like me to babble about? A movie? Video game? Some recent nerdy news? Which pony is the best (and yes, I have a favorite!)? Share with me your ideas in the comments below and I'll do my best to get to babbling! Until then, thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your help, support, and shares. You are wonderfully, amazing fans and I can't wait to keep making you happy with my ramble-y, bamble-y articles! Until the video comes out, be on the look out for a few more surprises!
Also follow me on twitter or facebook (Link here to follow! The Patchwork Nerd Facebook!)
Xoxo! <3
Tootles!
PS: I'm planning on doing a shout out article to some of my AMAZING followers and mentors! There is some amazing work out their you need to follow! It's on the To-Do list! Though I'm sure manny of you know who you are! ^_^

Blip. Go with blip. There are so many people on Youtube there's a good chance that your videos will get lost in the shuffle.
ReplyDeleteAlso, an episode about ponies? Can this be a possibility? Perhaps? :D
I've had a YouTube account for four years, plus it's the most searched up search engine for videos, so that's the way to go. Babbles, definitely on the New Super Mario Bros. 2. (If you get it anytime soon.) Greatest Mario game, on the Super Mario Bros. movie, or best summer blockbuster.
ReplyDeleteFavorite pony. Tell us. It's important.
ReplyDeleteSince you've got two conflicting opinions so far, I'll weigh in on the subject. :)
ReplyDeleteI've had a Youtube account for a long time, and just recently started posting vlog style videos there in the last couple years or so. I've gotten random comments and a few subscriptions because people were randomly searching for whatever topic I was talking about and enjoyed my video.
Then, I decided to do a more formal review, using clips from a movie. Youtube blocked it before it was even finished processing. They are 100% on the side of the movie companies when it comes to that. As such, I created my Blip account, and that's where the more "professional" reviews go.
So if you're just going to do informal blogs without using any clips of copyrighted material, I'd say to go for Youtube because you'll reach more users. Otherwise go with Blip.
